Employer Engagement

SFSCC connects students to employers from the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, recruiting students for full-time and internship positions. In a typical year, over 150 employers participate in on-campus presentations to promote their organization, explain the recruitment process, and in many cases, collect resumes for open internships and full-time positions.

During the academic year, there is a wide range of industry and regional panels, some of which are hosted by SFS clubs and student leaders. These discussions provide students with valuable sector information and insights about specific organizations and institutions, as well as strategies to leverage their regional expertise in the job market. Students can also participate in employer treks to New York City and targeted organizations in the Washington, DC- metro area.

Jumpstart January is a signature program offered by the Career Center that features a series of industry panels, presentations, workshops, and discussions designed to help students “jump start” their career search after the winter break.
